I want to add a little design to my bike. It has plastic fairings and a metal gas tank. I just received an airbrush and I tried it out on paper with Lacquer paint from an Aerosol spray can. What is the appropriate paint to buy for an airbrush in order to put graphics on a sport bike? I did some reading and there are 3 types of paint, Lacquer, Acrylic and, Enamel. I don't know the difference or whats good for my airbrush.

What paint would you recommend to airbrush on a motorcycle?
I am tackling a new project, airbrushing a friends bike. However I have never airbrushed metal before so I need to know what paint is the best to use. I guess also what might be the best source for purchasing it.

There's a lot more that goes into painting a motorcycle than just what kind of paint to use. You'll need to know how to prep the metal, then finish the job with clear coat, then wet sanding and polishing. You'll have to use automotive paint. The good stuff is usually urethane based, and can be pretty expensive. here's a few links to help you out.

I am handpainting a special wall plaque for a friend of mine who is into Harley-Davidsons. It is a large plaque handcrafted and carved with motorcycles and the HD logo. It looks almost 3-D. It is a beautiful plaque and I really want to do a good job. But the silver paint I'm using for the bikes doesn't look anything like chrome. is there anything I can use that will give these bikes a chrome look? Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated. My Icon Rubicon is like sharing a metal bucket with a tornado. I would like to install a Chatterbox so the little missus and I can chat while we ride, but both of our helmets are so loud at speed we'd never be able to shout loud enough to be heard.
I have an Arai full-face that is the quietest thing I've ever had on my head. I used the Chatterboxes with my wife at one time, and those things are great!
