what's the diffrence between a notched Harley rocker pin?
and just the Rocker pins? Anyone know?
I'm sorry I should have said that this question pertains to Harley Davidson stick pins(the kind you ware) they seem to be found at a higher price than un notched stick pins. Example of this would be if you looked on Ebay...
The upper edge corners are cut off at an angle so the pins fit or stack better when pinned together in a row
If you have a picture of both types,,,,,,compare the upper corners
That's the Physical difference

Those are supposed to be some kinda "Collectible" among the HOG warts.
The notched ones are the Original Renewal pins for HOG members,,,from 1st year.
The Original HOG club 1st year folks,,,got the Notched ones when they renewed their membership.
So it's Not actually a MEMBER's 2nd year pin,,,
But more like the CLUB's 2nd year pin.
1st year membership was Squat,,like 20~30,000 members(over a million now),,
So the Real,Genuine,Original Notched ones are very scarce.
Only the Original members who Renewed got those.
You can 'bout imagine how many of the Real ones appear on the market for sale,,
and IF they do,,,,'bout how long they last.
There's Re-Issues,,Replicas,Copies,etc.
I THINK,,but not certain,,,there was 1 other year which was SIMILAR???

Don't Count on any of the above as ACCURATE,,
I dont keep up with all that kinda stuff.
I may have it backwards and upside down.
But its something along those lines.
*VERY limited number of Originals ever Made.
*And Only in very early years of HOG(Harley Owners' Group)
.....If You are wanting to buy one,,,there's Reproductions aplenty for cheap.
If Ya want a Genuine Original,,,especially as a Collectible/"investment"..
Be VERY CERTAIN You will get Documented Authenticity before Buying.
While it's always posible to Authenticate stuff years later,,
You Usually come out way ahead if ya ever wanna reSell,,,
by having any kind of Source Documentation from the time of aquisition

HOG may even have a resource to date/ID the pins??

is there a generic code for a 2007 harley softtail for the alarm?
i installed new handlebars and now it wont start. i cant find my owners manuel. i have both fobs .cant i enter a code with the turn signals? i never selected a pin from the dealer , is there a generic code?
Call the dealer you bought it from and ask the service department.
check the battery in the fob.
I've worked for 3 dealership now and they all had different codes to put into the bike.
I've thought a little more about your problem, I believe that when you swapped your handlebars you pinched/cut 1 or more of the wires going to your right switch housing.
turn your bike ignition switch on with the kill switch off, then turn your kill switch on and listen for the fuel pump if it runs for a couple of seconds then it's one of the wires going to the starter itself.
