I believe that the advertisement that communicates its message most successfully is that of ‘Harley Davidson’. The reason is because the message that is carried out through this advertisement, is that Harley Davidson jackets are made for tough guys. The poster achieves to show clearly this message with a large picture on top of a Harley Davidson jacket and below that, there is some text saying, “Customers who bought this also purchased:” and shows below a picture of a cobra snake, a brass knuckle and a piece of an uncooked meat. So if you consider of someone purchasing these things the first image that comes to your mind is some kind of a bully, because the only person that would have a wild and dangerous animal like cobra for a pet, playing with toys like brass knuckles and mainly a meat eater, is the perfect image of wild, strong and fearless man. There is a perfect link between the message they are trying to give out and the images that describe it.

On the very few occasions I've had to travel alone I experience that simultaneous I'M FREE / I'M HOMESICK feeling and I know it's a completely different situation when you're on a work trip. The one work trip I took I accidentally found a black leather Harley Davidson jacket the owner of the store was selling ridiculously cheap ($120) that fit like it was made for me and though I no longer have it due to very sad yet boring reasons, I will always consider that trip a success because of it.
I hope you have a great weekend back home with your people!

Wow, I'm sorry you don't still have that jacket. Sounds like a great find.

I had a pretty good weekend, except for Boy being sick...

The state of California is having a "garage sale" to help get rid of some clutter and generate some revenue.

Are some of these items confiscated? I don't know, but there's definitely some items below that were purchased with taxpayer dollars:

- Sacramento Kings Bobble Head Dolls (donated?)

- XBOX 360 With Halo Cover (purchased?)

- A surfboard with the word "Chronic" across it (confiscated?)

- Harley Davidson Jacket with matching hat and gloves (confiscated?)

- Exercise Steps (purchased, for state employee's gym, apparently)

- Bianchi Racing Bicycles (apparently purchased)

- Massage Seat Cover, still in box

- SIX Dental Chairs in fair condition (WTF?)

- Fish Rite small fishing boat with outboard motor, fishing pole available separately

Now how much of this crap was purchased with taxpayer dollars, and WHY?
