Which motorcycle is cooler for a 20 year old?
Bunch of my friends want to start riding bikes on the weekends, i always wanted a bike of my own but don't really known which one to get. See the problem is i really like the Harley Davidson but my friends are like that is for zombies (old people) so i started to look around and found Ducati but still kind of like the harley better so my question is, will it be weird for a 20 year old to ride this harley davidson in full bike gear around a bunch of japanese bikes or should i stay away from harley davidson. is it a ok choice? thx!

I'm not sure what your budget runs but I would also suggest a Yamaha Vstar. They are comfortable models and very dependable. I bought one this past year and have loved every second of it. But out of the 2, you presented. I would go with the Harley! More dependable better on the re sell value if that ever becomes necessary. You also make an accent for yourself by doign your thing and riding what your passionate about. Be yourself and go for the Harley!

Would a Harley be a good first bike ?
I have never drove a motorcycle(or a car) before and i am going on a Direct access course in about 2 weeks. There I will complete my cbt and as I am over 21 will hopefully complete/pass a 3 day course so i have a full bike lience. I really like this 2004 Harley Davidson sportster. What are your general thoughts about getting it as a first bike. im a 6ft guy weight 17+stone.

Once again, and again, and again.....MUSHKI....aka MUSH MOUTH............is blowing crap out of his mouth again............If you listen to PUNKS like this......you're just as ignorant as him.
If you read most of the post comparing HD's and imports, you will see the MAJORITY of HD riders don't put the import bikes down, for the most part, we agree on it's not what you ride, it's that you do ride. It's the young top-end horsepower speed freaks like Mushki that offer no real assistance to anyone, they are just here to bash HD. Top speed isn't want everyone wants....especially first-time riders.
Import sport bikes were meant for high speed, they have ALOT of HORSEPOWER and mediocre torque in the high rpm range, which makes them very unfriendly in the midrange and no power down in the lower rpm's. HD's are designed for a MORE USEABLE and COMFORTABLE low to mid rpm torque.
One is designed to do something the other can't.
Like others have said go to the dealers (HD & Imports) and sit on the bikes and get a feel for what fits YOU. NO-ONE CAN TELL YOU WHETHER OR NOT A BIKE IS GOOD FOR YOU, EXCEPT YOU.
DO NOT.....LISTEN TO ANYONE WHO'S NAME SOUNDS LIKE FART. HE IS AN ANTI-HD TROLL THAT DOES NOTHING BUT SPOUT OFF RHETORIC ABOUT HOW BAD HD IS BECAUSE AN HD DELAER KICKED HIM OUT OF THEIR BUILDING FOR THROWING A FIT WHEN THEY COULDN'T GET HIM FINANCED!!!!
