Where is the flasher for the turn signals I have a 1989 Harley Davidson Softail Custom?
under the dash in-between the tanks.
you'll have to remove one of the tanks to get to it (pull the right one, less work)
Oh, and it's called a TSM (turn signal module)

2009 Harley-Davidson® Heritage Softail® Classic
What is the difference between the Harley Davidson Fat Boy, and the Softail Custom. Other than the style?
the drive train is basically the same. the front end dimensions are different. the foot controls are much different; handle bars are different. this makes the seating position different. The floor boards on the Fatboy and the wider handlebars,put you in a more upright seating position then the Custom. Both bikes have the softail frame,but usually a taller rider will be more comfortable with the forward foot controls on the Custom. I prefer the fatter 16 inch front tire on the fat boy,over the thinner 21 inch on the Custom.Some people complain about the solid front wheel on the fatboy in cross winds.
