Bell motorcycle Car
Motorcycle over Small Car for City Transportation?
Ok, right now I have a large truck that I probably won't be able to park in the city when I need it for Co-op next year. Given this, I need to sell it possibly for like 3 grand (8foot bed, extended cab, chevy silverado, 2004, good quality with all bells and whistles, 160k miles, about the right price expected?), and get a small car or motorcycle to commute.
So I know a used car and a good bike are SORT OF the same range (6k - 9k), but insurance I haven't looked up yet. Also, I like the IDEA of using a motorcycle, it can fit more places, but I CAN'T STAY DRY? I saw they have a water suit and stuff that you can use which could work, but I need to stay dry because i'm going to be working in a suit and tie most days. What do you think is the best idea for someone who needs to commute, doesn't want to spend a lot, needs to stay dry, and doesn't have a parking space (park on the streets is decent, it's philly). Thank you for your advice ^_^.

get yourself one of those waterproof touring suits that fit over your normal clothes. and you'll be fine with the rain. Get a 125 scooter like a Honda SH125i, they spend 2 L/100km, (or a bigger one) just make sure it has a loud horn, big wheels, safe tires,(try to find a scooter with ABS), and a 47 liter case. 
bikes (especially scooters) are much better in a city because you don't get stuck in traffic and you park where you please
Of course it depends on what kind of city and traffic you're dealing with . But by what you say, I'm guessing a scooter is the ideal.
