I would like to know details on years 1999 and 2004. Is there any differences between the two?
(On my 1999 Bike the speedometer is not working, and I need to know if I will be able to replace it with a 2004 speedometer.
I know it's not exactly the same thing.)

Those two speedos will not interchange. The 04 speedo is an intregral part of the bikes computer system, it has built-in on-board diagnostics for the the electrical system that the 99 does not have.
What EXACTLY is wrong with the 99 speedo, what is it not doing????....It could be as simple as a bad speed sensor at the trans or a bad connection somewhere...the electronic speedos HD uses seldomly go bad, it does happen, but rarely, it is usually related to the speed sensor or wiring.

i have a ford f150 harley davidson edition that will not start unless you hold the gas petal to the floor then it will run until you shut it off and it does the same prob... if you dont hold petal down it just turns over....is it a sensor or something?
It's either a fuel pump going bad, when that usually happens it's the exact opposite effect though. Or the fuel filter is clogged. it's most likely the fuel filter though so just change it, might cost you $20 at most if you do it yourself. If you do it yourself, it probably has a special "key" to unlock the fuel filter that you can get at allmost any auto parts store. Also be sure to let the pressure off or you could get sprayed with pressurized fuel. Do this by: when the truck is running take out the fuse for the fuel pump and wait until the engine dies, after you replace the filter put the fuse back and start the vehicle normally.
