davidson Limited How can I advertise a specialty vehicle for sale without doing all the transactions over the internet?
My mother just won a 2008 Harley Davidson limited edition Ford F-350 diesel truck. Its worth 56 thousand dollars.I've looked and even started an account on E-bay motors and they ask for too much they want all the transactions to take place over the internet. All I need is people to contact me either by E-mail or phone. Please help me do the initial advertising.
I bought a 2007 Harley Davidson Nightster not long ago and have read on ebay that they are limited production and that they are worth lots more than they sell for. i have seen several go for more than i paid but want to know if that rumor is true or if that is just said so that they can sell their bikes.
Thats what I'm hearing from my Harley ridin friends.
Belt harley I have a 2004 883 harley davidson it has 15000 miles on it and it backfires i bought it from a privateowner?
it pops alot when i start it up i went to harley davidson and they said the jets had to be clean or the fuel . I dont know if its the timing belt but it shouldnt have that problem because it only has 15000 miles on it i hope the bike is alright does anyone know what could be the problem i would appreciate it
Too lean a fuel /air ratio will cause backfire, especially on deceleration.
You can easily determine if you are running lean by looking at your spark plugs. The ceramic portion of the plug that surrounds the electrode should have a tan colored residue on it. If it's white, you are lean.
Clogged jets can cause a lean condition, but I have seen lots of Sportys have intake manifold gasket leaks, this causes a *** Very Lean Condition***Also check the vacuum line that runs from the VOES switch to the carb. this can sometimes cause an air leak.
Like the other poster said, if it has aftermarket pipes, it needs to be jetted appropriately.
A manual would be a very wise investment, all the answers you get here would be in there plus waaaay more.
BTW, no timing belt or chain, it runs right off the crank and once a Harley's timing is set it very ,very seldom goes out of time.

Harley Streetglide Belt keeps breaking on my buddys 08 model Anyone else having the same problem?
Bike has 4000 miles & has broken 3 belts & the dealer can't find the problem They said he didn't know how to ride the bike which is BS Been riding Harleys for 30 years
The problem is not the belt. My own '07 Ultra has over 25000kms on the original belt with no trouble whatsoever. These belts are tough and reliable.
It is possible that the rear wheel is improperly aligned, throwing the pulleys out of line and causing premature wear. The most likely culprit, however, is that the dealer's technicians are grossly over-tightening the belt on installation. This will will cause it to stretch every time the rear wheel hits a bump and that is the surest and quickest route to premature failure.
Get the dealer to provide your friend with a new belt, then get a competent mechanic to install it. And by all means tell your friend to take his business elsewhere.
motorcycle Article Photos The new dog-powered scooter that lets your pooch walk you ~ Would you use/buy one at £380?
At first glance, it reminds you of an old motorcycle and side-car. But this pooch-powered scooter is being hailed as the the latest in dog walking technology.
Owners simply strap their dogs into a harness, which is attached at the side to a scooter. The human rider can put on the brakes and retains directional control, just in case an excitable dog decides to veer off in the wrong direction.
It was created by bored dog-walker Mark Schuette from Oregan, U.S. And his unique take on 'walkies' has already stirred plenty of interest.
The standard scooter and dog-pulling harness is £380, with the option of adding up to three more pulley's, costing £170 at a time.
I brought a scooter to take delta for runs with but I am not sure about the little attachment on the side. I have a harness that she pulls against to "power" the scooter and a head halter that she wares but I only use if I need to quickly steer her or have more control in case something unexpected comes up. But its pretty flat around were I live lots of flat roads and pathways. She likes it and its a great way to remove some of her energy.
davidson Fat Boy How many 1998 Harley Davidson Fat Boys were built for shipment out of the USA?
I have a 1998 harley fat boy that was purchased originally in Abu Dhabi. Does anyone know how many of these bikes were built for overseas shipment and sold overseas? Thank You for any help you can give me on this!!!
In 1998, Harley-Davidson sold 150,818 motorcycles worldwide.
Of those, 39,212 went for export.
How many were Softails (and specifically Fat Boys) is harder to track down. They are quite common, though...
